What We Do

1. We provide confidential counsel to senior management about how parts of the business are really operating and how current management could improve; we assess the capability of current operating management to deliver improvement.

2. We identify ways to increase revenue & reduce cost and build the appropriate business case for change.

3. We discover ways to capitalize on synergies arising between businesses, companies, business units, plants, operations, and business processes from a merger-acquisition; or simply arising from senior management's desire to find synergies to improve the bottom line in their business.

4. We conduct "Rapid Operation Assessments" on behalf of an existing, or would-be investor to determine whether it is under performing and why, and provide:

• Realistic "fixes"
• Reasons to divest
• Reasons for significant hidden value

5. We dissect processes to uncover all the sources of non value-added effort e.g. waste, rework, duplication, overlap:

• We find ways to improve the productivity of all the company’s assets
• We create much leaner business processes that cost less in terms of: people cost, energy cost, materials and services costs, consumable costs, transportation costs, and working capital costs

6. We improve up-time and production rates in manufacturing operations.

7. We reduce the cost of maintenance in manufacturing operations; we design, implement or modify maintenance management systems to reduce the impact of maintenance on production.

8. We "right size" or define in the first place, the organization's structure and human asset complement.

9. We design (or modify) and implement Performance Management Systems for the whole organization to support individual and group behaviour, and align it with the interests of "the business".

10. Under certain circumstances KCB will supply 6 to 12 months contract management services for the most senior positions: CEO; COO; President; SVP Operations; EVP Operations; VP HR; VP Supply Chain (including Strategic Sourcing & Procurement & logistics); VP Business Development; VP HSE; VP Capital Projects.
