Principals

Karl Kelton: B. Comm; has 25 years of management consulting experience in a wide range of industries. Karl spent the last 10 years as a Senior Manager with Deloitte Consulting, where he led both their Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma practice, as well as their Canadian Mining & Metals consulting practice. He has a proven capability to design and implement solutions to complex business problems that deliver bottom line value to clients. His expertise includes Operations Excellence, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and Performance Management. Karl has successfully implemented assignments involving business process and organizational redesign in supply chain and materials management, production planning & control, factory operations, engineering services, plant maintenance and infrastructure support. Karl has published several articles on topics including strategic-sourcing, capacity assurance, & lean manufacturing.

Brent Chertow: P. Eng, MBA; has held a number of executive and senior management positions throughout his 29 year career with Falconbridge. Recently, he was President of the Canadian Copper and Recycling Business Unit – one of 5 world-wide. Brent is a growth-driven top management executive with extensive experience in business development, multi-plant processing operations, finance, strategy formulation and implementation, technology, organizational development, quality assurance, and environment, health and safety. He has a proven ability to form and lead competent teams, define courses of action, achieve significant cost improvements, streamline processes, and deliver measurable financial results. Brent has been a Director/Member of several Boards: Board of Governors of Laurentian University; Member of the Board of Science North; Director on the Board of International Zinc Institute; Director on the Board of the American Zinc Institute; Director on the Board of the Copper Development Association.

Associates

Al Giroux: has over 31 years of experience in the mining and metallurgical sector. He is a mechanical engineer with an MBA from Laurentian University. He has served as the: 1) General Manager of the Horne Copper Custom Feed Smelter. Falconbridge LTD, Rouyn – Noranda, Quebec, 2) Vice President of SMRQ ( Societe Mineral Raglan Quebec) General Manager of Raglan Mine, Falconbridge LTD, Northern Quebec, 3) Maintenance Manager of the Sudbury operations, Falconbridge LTD, Sudbury, Ontario, 4) Smelter Project Manager, Falconbridge Ltd. Sudbury Ontario, and Strathcona Mill Manager, Falconbridge Ltd. Sudbury Ontario.

Al is fluent in English and French.

Mark Trevisiol: has over 20 years of operations experience in the base metals industry. Mark has an engineering degree from the University of Waterloo and is a registered professional engineer. Previous assignments included COO of Liberty Mines, General Manager Business Development Xstrata Nickel Sudbury Operations, General Manager Sudbury Smelter for Falconbridge Ltd., and Superintendent Zinc Plant, Kidd Metallurgical Facility Falconbridge Ltd.

Ted Laks: is an executive with proven expertise in growing and running large, complex, multi-location, capital and employee intensive businesses.

Ted was a Senior Operations and Performance Management Executive with broad experience in managing large international, complex and engineering oriented organizations. He held progressive roles from Engineering to Sales and Marketing to General Management with P&L accountability for a $1.0 billion business division - from business strategy to execution.

International business experience includes advancing business ventures in China and South America.

John Raskob: has spent approximately half of his 27-year career in private industry manufacturing management roles, including most recently as the executive officer and GM for, respectively, an industrial supplier and a manufacturer of stainless steel heat treatment and refractory parts to the steel, Oil &Gas and mining industries. John spent 14 years in the management consulting profession with two global firms where he led a supply chain/manufacturing practice at Deloitte. His mining consulting experience includes large-scale, multi-year productivity and process improvement projects for copper & zinc, uranium, and gold producers.

Peter Eichinger: is a Supply Chain and Procurement executive/professional with demonstrated leadership and results delivery in the mining, equipment, and consumer products industries. He is a leader in developing global supply chain strategies, leveraging resources to deliver significant results and performance improvement in procurement, logistics, and manufacturing. He has successfully led organizations operating in decentralized and centralized environments across Canada and globally. Peter has also served as a supply chain consultant with a major global consultancy, focused on delivering results using a variety of methodologies with a focus on customer requirements.

Grant Elder: is an innovative operations and finance executive and change leader with a proven record of searching out and capturing opportunities for continuous improvement. Grant uses proven methodologies to develop and execute strategic plans and engage employees. He has achieved increased efficiencies and outstanding productivity through leading- edge operational enhancements.

Key industry experience includes Management Consulting, Steel making, Power Plant operations, Pulp & Paper, Aviations, Automotive and Finance.

Grant is fluent in English and French.

Laurence Davies: has 19 years experience in the mining and metals sector. He is a finance professional (Chartered accountant) with international exposure and extensive experience in Accounting, Finance, Sales, and Operations Management. He is strategically focused with exceptional analytical and business modeling skills. His experience includes Director of Strategic improvement Xstrata (Europe & Africa), Director of Strategic improvement Xstrata Nickel – Toronto, Director, Valuation & Analysis, Falconbridge/Noranda, Director, Business Valuations, Noranda (CC&R), Manager of e-procurement, Falconbridge, and Comptroller, Falconbridge Kidd Metallurgical Division in Timmins.
